Foreign Tongue is a group show of photographers from various backgrounds making their foray into fine art photography. For some, this is the first fine art exhibition of their work. For others in this exhibition, they are renowned for their haunting and arresting images in more traditional media such as Time Magazine, The New York Times, and US World News and Report. Using a narrative approach, a rich and enrapturing story unfolds. The feelings of an outsider; of intimacy, exoticism and boundary which tie a community becomes inherit. This exhibition explores those feelings through visceral imagery. The exhibition will travel from CUAC in Utah to the Boots Contemporary Art Space in St. Louis, MO and beyond. Award winning photographers included in the show are David Butow, Kenneth Jareke, David Burnett, Juozas Cernius, and Alexander Pincus.
