CUAC collaborates with Birch Creek Ranch, located in high-desert Sanpete Valley, just outside of Spring City, Utah on an 80-acre juniper forest on the skirt of Horseshoe Mountain. The residency is open to 1-3 artists at a time with the average stay being about three weeks. The rotation is organic and the terms for each residency are worked out on an individual basis. Residents say in a straw-bale building with bathrooms, bedrooms, laundry, kitchen, and common area. There is a studio building a short walk away.
At this time, artists are responsible for their own materials, food, and transportation, though there is no fee associated with the residency.
